Knowledge of a chemical’s potential to produce an adverse health effect is critical to assessing the risk of its presence in a product. Toxicological hazard assessments performed within current regulatory frameworks require an evidence-based approach that is reliable, robust and transparent. Cardno ChemRisk has more than 20 years of experience conducting hazard assessments for nearly all chemical categories, including metals, VOCs, SVOCs, reactive organic monomers, and those classified as Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic (PBT). Our assessments have regularly been published and used by stakeholders in the scientific community to determine occupational, environmental, and human health-based screening criteria such as DNEL and PNEC required under the EU REACH regulation, TRVs for Canada, and RfDs/RfCs for the United States.
