Mrs. Gloekler is a Senior Associate Health Scientist with Cardno ChemRisk. Her principal areas of training and expertise include environmental chemistry, environmental and human health, risk assessment, exposure assessment, and occupational health and safety. She completed her Masters in Environmental Management with a concentration in Ecotoxicology and Environmental Health (EEH) from Duke University. During graduate school, Mrs. Gloekler focused on gaining knowledge and expertise in toxicology, environmental chemistry, human health, and the principles of risk assessment. For her thesis work, she collected and analyzed hand wipe samples from student populations in Hong Kong and mainland China in order to quantify levels of exposure to flame-retardant chemicals in Asia, as well as to access how behavioral factors influence exposure. In her current position, Mrs. Gloekler reviews and summarizes literature on the health hazards and historical exposures associated with asbestos. Additionally, she provides litigation support for expert testimony, primarily in asbestos related matters.
