Lindsey Garnick, Associate Health Scientist
Lindsey Garnick is an Associate Health Scientist with Cardno ChemRisk in the San Francisco, California office. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Environmental Toxicology with an emphasis in Ecotoxicology at the University of California, Davis in 2014. Ms. Garnick’s primary academic training included biological and environmental fate of toxicants, risk assessment, ecotoxicology, and conservation biology. As a student, Ms. Garnick assisted in an aquatic toxicology laboratory researching the degradation pathways and environmental partitioning of sulfonylurea herbicides. She helped execute a study investigating the photolysis half-life of imazosulfuron and quantified its breakdown products using GC-MS. In her current position at Cardno ChemRisk, Ms. Garnick researches scientific literature on the health hazards and historical exposures associated with asbestos and other occupational hazards, including lead (Pb), isocyanates, and cargo residues. She also performs risk assessments and exposure reconstructions for a variety of compounds.
