Biography

Dr. Ernest Fung is a Senior Health Scientist with Cardno ChemRisk. He received his MS in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of California Irvine which broadly focused on neuropharmacology. His work involved the discovery and development of a novel class of anti-inflammatory lipid mediators with expertise in dose response and structure activity relationships. Dr. Fung then completed his PhD in Experimental Pathology at the University of California Irvine. His work broadly focused on neurodevelopmental pathology. His principle research focus was on embryonic forebrain development and the effects of FGF signal impairment during embryogenesis. Additionally, Dr. Fung established a novel mouse model to simulate a transient impairment of FGF signals in utero.
