Biography

Dr. Galbraith is a licensed physician with over 15 years of life sciences consulting experience and 24 years of clinical practice experience. He received his BS in chemistry from Stanford and his Doctor of Medicine from Yale University. Dr. Galbraith trained in general surgery in Seattle prior to attending in emergency medicine, and becoming certified in advanced trauma care and advanced cardiac life support.

He is a Senior Principal at Cardno ChemRisk, a firm providing toxicology, industrial hygiene, epidemiology, and medical risk assessment services.  Dr. Galbraith specializes in understanding and quantifying health risk, with a particular emphasis on human exposures to chemical toxins in a variety of settings.  He has published on the evaluation of health effects resulting from exposures to occupational and environmental substances, as well as the use of biomonitoring to assess health risk for exposed populations.

Prior to joining Cardno ChemRisk, Dr. Galbraith explored ways in which information technology could assist healthcare delivery and pharmaceutical research organizations; helping to create strategies and solutions for capturing, managing and reporting data in clinical trials and recording data from patient interactions with nurses and physicians.
